Path2Profit Seminar in Olympia, WA

Spotlight on BizNik

Pathfinders had a lot of activity last month. The principles were traveling. Our how-to guide called The Path To Engineered Profit premiered in New York City. Our web site went through some substantial changes, and we rolled out some new program offerings.

Olympia, Washington was the site of two events last month. Pathfinder principles, Jim Muller, George Whitfield, and Robert Elliott, met with area manager, Dave Muller, who hosted two events in his region. The first was a well-attended luncheon sponsored by the BizNik business networking site. See more about BizNik at the bottom of this newsletter.

BizNik events are a showcase for the movers and shakers of the Olympia, Washington area and Pathfinders was honored to be invited as the guest speaker. Robert Elliott gave an interesting talk on the current economic crisis: how we got here; and, how small businesses can survive and thrive. Many of his points can be read in his article in The Library called After the new economy: The shift from market-based to cost-based pricing.

The second Olympia event was a Path2Profit evening seminar. We had a dozen companies represented and the 90-minute presentation, which outlined a new business model for the new economic reality, was very well received. We have future seminars scheduled for San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Washington State (See our web site for details).

We also had our how-to guide, The Path To Engineer Profit, represented at the US Book Exposition in New York City. This book exposition is the largest in North America and showcases significant new offerings by authors on subjects in the business and educational sectors. Our guide is always available online and at our seminars, but we have had interest from a number of publishers and are considering a broader distribution.

I hope you enjoy this newsletter and if there is anything we can do to help your company, please feel free to contact me personally.

BEA Logo

The publishing industry gathered at BEA 2009, the premier North American publishing event, to celebrate its passion for books and to see and learn what was needed to survive today's changing industry and challenging economy. BEA displayed over 500 authors and hundreds of new titles on the show floor filled with 1,500 exhibitors, the new downtown stadium stage, and the ever-popular autographing area. Pathfinder's was honored to be included in this prestigious event.

Pathfinders' how-to guide, The Path To Engineer Profit, is unique in being a business manual for increasing the profit of small-size and medium-size businesses by realigning their organizational management and fiscal control structures. We had significant interest at this year's book show. We have always sold this guide directly to you, our clients, off our web site and at seminars. We are considering a broader distribution channel, but want to ensure that we offer the guide at the lowest possible cost and with the easiest possible purchase options for our clients. Please send us your thoughts on this and I will keep you informed about developments in this area.

  Lunch "Down Under Style"

The Pathfinders’ principles and the area manager for Olympia, Washington were able to be together for a networking Down Under Style! David Muller organized a business mixer on June 11 that had over 20 companies attending. It was a casual lunch at the Outback steakhouse in West Olympia. Every one had the opportunity to give a short speech about their business, skills, and ideal leads. They had Robert Elliott as the guest speaker this month. Robert, of course, is the author of The Path To Engineer Profit and he shared some words of wisdom on the current economic chaos: how we got here; and, what we need to do to survive. The meeting was free for BizNik members. New friends were made, information was shared, business cards were exchanged, and everyone had a great time. For more information see http://www.biznik.com/members/david-muller.

  Path2Profit Seminar in Olympia, WA

On June 11, the Pathfinders' principles and our area manager, David Muller, hosted a seminar for small-sized to medium-sized businesses in the Olympia, Washington area on The Path To Engineer Profit. The Path To Engineer Profit is our premier how-to guide on how businesses can control their costs. The path to profit seminars are a series of regional meetings that we organize to help educate business owners on the need for cost control, and to lay out our business model for planning profit in a small to medium size.

The Path2Profit seminar opens with an overview of systems that a company should use to reduce risk, plan, and control a company's profit. We go into detail on how to engineer profit and set up a system to track progress toward a preplanned profit goal.

We had a dozen companies attend including representatives from the local chambers of commerce. We are pleased to announce that the demand for this seminar was sufficient that we are scheduling another seminar for August 13, 2009 in the same area. Our web site lists upcoming regional seminars and includes a form for registration. Our web site includes a Web-inar that covers the basic points of the Pathfinders Map. Further, you may contact us directly to request a seminar in your region and we will do our best to accommodate you.
